Koru's Headquarters was designed with the specific intention to create a space for millennials, Koru's clientele. The space is millennial familiar, a comfortable immersive coffee-shop vibe intersecting with startup edge and opportunity. As an early stage startup, Koru's office, for a moment in time, had a dual function as both office and a program space. With Koru's brand emphasis on Grit, Rigor, and Teamwork, we worked with 70% salvaged materials and redesigned furnishings from train cars, movie theaters and Seattle Public Utilities. We introduced new lighting, whiteboards and blackboards, designated spaces for productivity, collaboration, meetings, team lunches and reflection. Designed with an eye on growth and a nurturing of Koru's communicative culture, we created work spaces that compliment the individual work styles of Koru's employees to encourage the highest productivity and deepest collaboration.
